About us

We are a family business with Allen undertaking engraving and marketing while Jackie concentrates on the day to day affairs of running a business. As for Nipper and Suzy, our jack russell and lurcher, well they just come along for the ride when we take our trade stand to dog shows.

It was more by accident that this business evolved, as our previous business was nothing at all to do with engraving, or even pets, though we have always been great dog lovers.

 In 2004 we purchased a 20 year old (at that time) pantograph manual engraving machine, a set of second hand brass fonts and 100 blank pet ID tags and starting engraving tags for customers of our previous business who owned cats and dogs and were unable source tags locally at a reasonable price. It took me a few days to understand the workings of the engraving machine and after another couple of days practice we were up and running in the pet tag engraving market. 

Three months further on another 500 blanks were purchased and we began selling online, though not on our own website at the time. Things moved on rapidly from there and now two computerised engraving machines and thousands of tags later we've reached this stage. The previous business has gone, this website is becoming known, many other engraved items are being sold and we have a trade stand at dog shows most weekends during the summer months.

Ever since the 2004 days, and even prior to that in our previous business, we have always built our reputation on good customer service, despatching goods promptly and always responding to customer e-mail queries. Something that not all businesses adhere to - we know that from personal experience. Our policy is to treat customers as we would expect to be treated as a customer.
